“Tibungco Church” was the first church plant of Harvest House International Ministries and is located on our bustling main campus. Our beautiful main worship hall can seat up to 1200 and is shepherded by Pastor James and Sister Jeanette Leyva. In the spring of 2004 Pastor James went into the squatter re-location areas that surrounded our facility and attracted the kids with “basketball evangelism.”

We had the newest and by far the nicest covered gym/worship hall in the area and he provided the kids a safe place to come and play basketball, a much loved sport in the Philippines. The catch was that before each game, they heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Gang members started making decisions for Christ and Pastor James had a church full of “on fire” youth. It was contagious. The Lord sent James an awesome partner with his wife Jeanette who is also our Assistant Director.
The Leyva’s oversee the Tibungco Church, over 500 in home cell groups, and have just planted Harvest House church number 7 in the city of Panabo. Pastor James holds a bachelors of Science degree in secondary education and is also a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute. Sister Jeanette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry along with advanced training in bible and discipleship. They have two children.
